For ten years, the family that owned the 99c Store empire generously donated the iconic, Googie architecture Johnnie’s Coffee Shop building to a house mutual aid group called the Community Solidarity Project. The family appears to be exploring a more art-focused activation of the block, and so the CSP is celebrating the space with a final party and fundraising to secure a new location.
